Algeria is Africa’s largest country in area, with a mild California-like climate in the north and a large expanse of the Sahara Desert in the south.  It is now safe and peaceful, and the visa process is much easier than a few years ago.  GeoTours Algeria visits the capital city Algiers, ancient Roman sites (Djemila & Tipasa), and Constantine (the city of bridges).  The trip especially focuses on the spectacular desert landscapes of the Tadrart Rouge in Tassili N’Ajjer National Park near the border of Niger & Libya.  This tour includes 3 nights of desert camping over one hundred miles from the nearest town.  Group will be led by Matt Ebiner with English-speaking local guides.

GeoTours Algeria ($2090) can be combined with GeoTours Tunisia/Malta ($2490), which starts right after Algeria.  If doing both Algeria and Tunisia/Malta, airfare from Algiers to Tunisia is included in the trip cost.

GEOTOURS ALGERIA COST = $2090 – includes lodging in a double/twin room at hotels for 5 nights, 3 nights camping with tent and sleeping bag provided, breakfasts each morning, all meals in the desert, private tour bus in the north and 4WD vehicles in the Sahara, English-speaking guides, many entries/activities, and 2 domestic flights.  Single rooms are limited and cost +$500.  Discounts for GeoTours alumni and early registration.
