Peru is one of South America’s most rewarding travel destinations for its historical sites, traditional culture, and natural beauty.  The tour begins in the pleasant colonial city of Arequipa, with an impressive location below towering Misti Volcano.  Travel by private bus through the mountains to the altiplano and visit a rural home near Puno to learn about indigenous culture.  Take a full-day tour on Lake Titicaca to visit floating islands made of reeds and Taquile Island with its traditional lifestyle.  Go to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital and visit the colorful outdoor Sunday market in Chinchero.  Opt to hike to Rainbow Mountain or glacial Humantay Lake.  Ride the train through the beautiful Andes to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu.  Visit Machu Picchu, the greatest ancient city of the Americas.
